I keep asking myself … what is the CDC thinking? Especially with their latest March 2024 isolation guidance change (which tells people who are still contagious to return to their normal activities around others, knowing Covid is highly infectious, knowing about long Covid and reinfection risks). I mean, what ARE they thinking??? And then, it hit me …

The CDC. Is treating us like we have Alzheimer's! I mean… check it out: 

 Just look at #1 …."Never Argue, Instead Agree" right after California and Oregon made their isolation-lowering policy changes, people looked to CDC for a response and CDC… just .. didn't..  argue (despite even their own research showing COVID is contagious for at least 8 days in the majority of cases. They simply shrugged and agreed.   🤗

And, I don't think I need to say they "never reason", and are masters of diversion. That literally is the defining characteristic of every Covid policy... Long covid? “Oh well.. Covid is less deadly in its acute phase now😅” But 🤨 long Covid? “Well,  cases aren't as bad as when the omicron surge first hit🥳.” 😑 But LONG COVID? “Hmm .. we aren’t where we were back when we locked down 🙃?” 🫥

Never shame... They really have no shame, no apologies from telling people to stop masking when the vax came out...  no “Oh we were wrong about the vaccine stopping infections”, instead it's … “let me distract you with the idea that we oh we did such a good job because.. because .. cases seem less severe now in their acute phase, since new variants don't hit deep in the lungs as often.. oh, well yeah… thats because of us..  like . Letting everyone get it and stuff and .. so it gets into all your organs, often persists, is in people's brains.. But .. (distract) it's not killing as many in acute phase.. so vaccinate and .. umm yeah… we have less hospitalizations in the acute phase .. 😃

Never lecture, reassure. I'm not going to lecture you all on not masking to protect yourselves and vulnerable people and not isolating when contagious. I'll reassure you because of you poor things I know you are fatigued of having to do extra stuff, and wear that mask ugh .. so not fair … just to save other people's lives, protect the healthcare industry, save the economy?..nah.. . let's just let the vulnerable fall by the wayside, work people til their sick…  it's ok to give your kids disabilities because like.. homeschooling is tough, and teachers deal with enough, we need everyone back at work to like… keep this cycle of idiocity going.. and … protecting your kids health really is a burden. Go ahead and send the money we gave you for Covid on bleacher seats for your football field and turkey statues. Those are the things that really matter. 👍

Never say “remember”, instead reminisce... like don't remember how badly we messed up every single step of this pandemic so that you stop valuing our judgment. Reminisce how great things were in 2019, and embrace that year as today.😀

Never say “I told you”... As in I told you to wash your hands when I didn't know airborne was the main form of spread, and even when I knew it was airborne, thought, that's too hard and we want people to feel in control still so we will use that as a Dumbo's feather so to speak so they can work and.. maybe fly... that is, Until they plummet. So no, don't tell them it is airborne and they nee d to mask. Instead, Repeat... Wash your hands, wash your hands 👏 !

We aren't going to say “you can't” do 14 isolation to prevent the spread because your bosses and administrators won't adjust their staff and schedule and use all the amazing technology we have for hybrid, remote.. let's focus on you CAN just go in infectious.. then no one has to think or change stuff 😁!

Never command people and healthcare workers to wear a mask to prevent spread to the patients seeking medical care, almost all who are vulnerable.. instead, ask them to.. then they will think it's not really necessary or they would have to and then they won't and then we won't have to provide n-95 masks for everyone and hospital administrators will be happy with us 😊

Never condescend. Encourage. Even if people's entitlement, ignorance, inability to prioritize, and unwillingness to get educated harms, disabled, and kills others, let's not talk down them… even if their behavior should be condemned. Instead… Encourage them! Make them feel as though they are in the right and those others are just necessary sacrifices for them... And one day.. they'll get to be sacrifices too. Because change is hard and we certainly don't want to admit to our errors. Let's all just cosign each other's bs. 😉

And lastly.. never force (people to do the right, sane, humane, rational, sustainable practices). Just reinforce (their wrong, insane, inhumane, irrational, harmful, and unsustainable practices). The end.🔚

I don't know about you all, but I don't want to be treated like I have Alzheimer's. Not yet. Because I don't. I WILL argue, reason, shame, lecture, say "remember" and "I told you so", say "you can't", I will command, condescend, and force people to be safe and not infect me and mine. What #ISay matters, and what #cdcsays is… garbage 🚮.

And really CDC.. you didn't need to do this, your reputation was already dead.
